Saif Ali Khan robbery attack: Kareena Kapoor reaches Lilavati hospital to meet husband post stabbing incident

Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai home during an attempted robbery at his residence. According to preliminary reports, an unidentified intruder entered Saif’s home at around 2:30 a.m. A scuffle ensued between the actor and the assailant while he was protecting Kareena, Jeh and Taimur. In midst of this, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed badly and sustained 6 deep wounds after which he was hospitalised and now Kareena Kapoor has arrived to meet him.

Kareena Kapoor at Lilavati hospital to meet Saif Ali Khan

Actor Kareena Kapoor arrived at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon to meet her husband, Saif Ali Khan, after he underwent multiple surgeries. The Crew actress was seen arriving at the hospital with police security and avoided the paparazzi as she hurried inside. Kareena Kapoor was dressed in a simple co-ord set paired with black sunglasses. Saif’s children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan also visited their father earlier in the day. After Kareena, his sister Soha Ali Khan was also seen arriving at the hospital.

Kareena and Saif issue statement on the incident

In response to the unfortunate incident, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s teams issued statements. The statement from Kareena’s team read, “There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern.”

“There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” the official statement said.

The police have launched an investigation and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area surrounding the house.
